This is a closed group session, only open to Yoga students who have already attending my Yoga courses or Meditation Workshop. We usually meet in Pilton on the second Monday of the month between 6.30 - 7.30 pm.
During this three hour workshops, we explore the journey towards meditation by developing the skills to look at the mind and let go of unnecessary mental activity. Once we learn to calm the mind, we can bring this relaxed awareness more and more into our daily lives. It is my aim to provide a structured guide to developing a personal meditation practice should you wish to do so. I have been studying and practising meditation for several years now and continue to receive guidance from highly experienced teachers in my own practise of Tibetan Buddhist Meditation. We will draw on some of these ancient tried and tested ‘Calm Abiding’ (Shamatha) practices during this workshop.
Next workshop date: TBC
I will be teaching a meditation class most days during my Yoga and Meditation holiday in Kerala, India in February 2018. If you would like to have the opportunity to practise daily for an 8 day period, this is a great oppertunity to start to develop, or deepen, your daily meditation practice. For more information on this holiday, see my Yoga Holidays page.
